I Scream, You Scream for Ice Cream!

Summer is the perfect time to celebrate all things ice cream!  At Prima we were challenged to use Prima  products to create Ice Cream Cones.   How FUN!  So, I got busy with some of my favorite Prima and got to creating!!

Here is what I came up with:

If you follow me, you know I LOVE paper clay and the IOD Moulds!  I rolled out some paper clay, stamped it and then formed it to make the cone and wafer for my project.  I used the new IOD Medallion mould for the 'cherry on top'!

After stenciling and using watercolors to get my base complete. I cut a small foam ball in half and added Prima's boxed flowers for a fluffy ice cream cone.
Tip:  I used gold tipped pins and glue to attach the flowers to the foam ball.

The little resin bees from Prima are so sweet and I loved adding one to the cone and using one for the sentiment.  Get it?  Bee Sweet?

As always, I invite you to the Prima blog to see what the rest of the team came up with!  There are so many sweet Ice Cream projects!!

It's Love with Prima

Today on the Prima Blog it's All about LOVE!  I created these little canvases then tied them together with my favorite ribbons.  This idea could easily be done as separate canvases, too!

I used some of the Prima Paper Clay to make this heart for the "O".  I just rolled out some paper clay with a rolling pin, stamped on it with a Prima Stamp and then cut it out in the shape of a heart.

I painted the wood alphas with White Gesso, then colored them to match.  I used the same stamp to give them a bit of pattern.  The last thing was Prima WAX!  I can't get enough of this stuff!  All the gold accents on the canvas, wood and paper clay are done using the wax!

To embellish, I used Prima flowers, IOD Moulds and Trim.

Head over to the Prima Blog to see a TON of ideas that are Love Filled!  There are more to come, too!

Live with Prima Dream Wall Decor

I recently created this Plaque using beautiful Prima products on Live with Prima!  I used the new Limited Edition Color Bloom Sprays for a vibrant look!

In case you have missed it, two times a week we teach a free class on Live with Prima!  I'm adding the recording so you can watch it back right here on my blog!

This started with a Prima IOD Carte Blanch Plaque.  I added beautiful Relics and Artifacts butterflies from Prima by Sandra Evertson.  Of course lots of flowers and mediums, too!

If you look closely, you can also see some new foils and even Memory Hardware Fragments!  Prima does it again and again!

Here is the class!

Live with Prima Free Class

I hope you will join me on Thursday, May 19 at 8:30 Central Time for this fun and easy class on

I will be showing you everything you need to know about how to use the back of tiles to create pretty home decor pieces to place around your home, or use as little gifts!

This is an inexpensive way to use pieces that you have in your garage or, in my case, in the attic to come up with a unique piece!  No problem if you don't have tiles in your home, this size tile can be picked up at your local hardware store for practically nothing!

Hope to see you at Live with Prima!

New PRIMA IOD Moulds

Hey everyone!  I've been playing with the Prima IOD Moulds again!  If you are starting to sense that I seriously love these, you would be right!! They are simply perfect for everything from intricate pieces to the simplest things.  Today, I altered the back of a 6x6 tile!

I chose to use that back of the tile because I wanted it to be porous so that it would absorb the Color Bloom to coordinate with the misted IOD Moulds.  I also loved that it had a textured background that gave the perfect setting to add some Prima Micro beads and Prima Metallic Paint.

After the background and moulds were all dry from the misting, I added Prima Metallic paint with my finger to really show off the detail and intricacy of the moulds.

The ideas and possibilities are endless with these new moulds!  They are certainly something you will be seeing again and again on my projects.  After all, they are made to be used again and again!

Also, be sure to drop by the Prima Blog to see what the other Design Team Members have created!  They will blow your socks off!

NEW PRIMA! IOD Moulds, Paper Clay and Stamps

I knew that I would love being on Prima's team and I do!  Seeing the CHA releases and getting them in the mail was such a fun thing!  One of my favorite parts of this release was the new IOD Moulds and Paperclay.  (I honestly can't pick one favorite!)

I think that in addition to being so lovely, my favorite part about the moulds is that they can be used again and again!

For this piece, I started with the IOD Wooden Plaque.  I used some of the beautiful new stamps to frame the outside and stamped on Prima Watercolor paper to create the base for the inside.

I then used the paper clay for the center and added detail to the top and bottom, too.  It is so easy to color!!  I used a bit of Bloom Spray and paint to add some details.  So easy and sits beautifully on the molded pieces.

I added ribbon and micro beads to give the appearance of them spilling out of the vase.  AND.... did you see those flowers?  Of course, they are new, too!

There are SO MANY different pieces and possibilities with these products!  I can't wait to use them again and again!!

Be sure to go by the Prima Blog to see what the other designers have done!  The ideas are seriously endless, so you don't want to miss it!

Don't forget that this week we are finished with sneak peeks and showing off all the full reveals!!
