Tutorial Time at Bo Bunny!

Hey everyone!  I have to admit that I'm getting this up just a little late!  :)  It's been pretty busy around here lately and I'm behind on everything.  You know how that can go in the summertime.  The days just seem to fly by!

I made this card using the wonderful Double Dot Ribbons from Bo Bunny.  I also added some of the Double Dot papers.  I love how there are so many colors of these!

Go to the Bo Bunny Blog here to see how I made these EASY flowers!

Hope you are having a GREAT summer!

4 or More at Bo Bunny

We have had some requests for layouts showcasing 4 or more photos recently at Bo Bunny.  Of course, you ask and we try to deliver!  :)

I love loading the fabulous products on my pages, but I also want to make my layouts about the events, too.  Adding more pictures to a layout sometimes tells the story in a more in depth way.  I also think that there are also times when you just want to use more of your great pictures and adding more to a page meets that need.
Here is a layout that I did for the blog today using 5 pictures.  I used the layout of the family as my focal point by printing it larger than the other pictures on my layout.  Because I used so many pictures, the main picture is a 3 1/2 x5 photo instead of a more standard 4x6.

I mixed up the title by using layered chipboard and stickers.

The flowers are simply punched paper added to a silk flower and backed by leaves.  I love the brads that go with the Zoology collection added to the centers of these.

You might notice that the brackets are raised.  They are stickers that I lifted by using foam dots.  Use several to keep the sticker from bending in your album.

Bo Bunny Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Zoology Zebra, Wild Thing and Cheeta
Cardstock: Double Dot in Licorice Dot
Stickers: Zoology 12x12 and Zoo-rific
Die Cuts: Zoology Noteworth
Chipboard: Zoology Layered
Brads and Trinkets: Zoology

Now.... before I share the sketch and my layout with you, I have some SUPER GREAT news!!!

Volume 8 of Sketches for Scrapbooking was just released and
you can win it!!

You're going to love it and be so inspired!!  Here is a peek at the cover.

How do you win?

All you have to do is become a follower of my blog, then hop over to Sketch Support to become a follower there.

Let me know by a comment here that you did that and I'll pick a random winner on Sunday to get their very own copy of the new book!  How easy is that?  Of course, if you are already a follower of my blog and at Sketch Support, just let me know by commenting and you will be entered to win, too!

The Sketch for this week is a sketch that is included in the book.

Here it is!  You can download this sketch and many more at Sketch Support.

Here is my take on the sketch.  I couldn't resist using the Bo Bunny Liberty Collection for this sketch that is loaded with stars.  Instead of doing a patriotic layout, I did a birthday layout.

My son's birthday is on July 3rd so he had a LOT of Red, White and Blue Birthdays!

TIP: Sometimes a picture that is a bit busy can have a tendency to disappear on patterned paper. Adding a white border can help highlight the pictures better. I also like to pop up pictures a bit in this instance. I added two layers of cardstock underneath the pictures to further highlight them.
Supplies Used: Bo Bunny Liberty Collection paper, stickers, die-cuts, chipboard, brads and alphabet. Jillibean soup alphabet (red) and October Afternoon alphabet (blue). DMC embroidery floss.

Don't forget  to take a peek at Sketch Support to see what the design team did with this sketch and to become a follower while you're there for your chance to WIN!!
