Live With Prima - July Class

Tomorrow, on Live with Prima, I'll be teaching you how to create this canvas using Prima's Metal Birdcage along with lots of other fabulous Prima products!

I've incorporated lots of my favorite things in this project and hope you can join me to see how it comes together!

You can see there is a lot of dimension in this project.  Lots of dimension is one of the things that draws me to home decor pieces.

Of course, it is all about Prima, so it's loaded with Prima flowers!  I simply can't get enough of Prima's flowers!!

Prima June BAP

It's one of my favorite times of month at Prima!  It's time for the BAP and PPP challenges!

Rikka provided a beautiful sketch for us to work with this month!  (She always does!)  The sketch has options for 3 photos, but I have been wanting to scrapbook this photo of my daughter and I thought the sketch was perfect for it!  So, I took the placement of the 3 photos and just used one larger one.

I added the Prima Watercolor Confections to the background to start the background.  I was able to get the feel of water with them, which is exactly what I wanted.  I also used a Prima Stencil with Modeling Paste and the new Mini Art Stones to add some 'sandy' texture to compliment the photo, too.  These things together worked perfectly!

Finally, I embellished with lots of chipboard and the French Riviera Vine to complete the look of my layout.  I'm loving the French Riviera Collection for beach photos!  These colors are some of my all time favorites!

Prima Boxed Flowers

Hi everyone! At Prima, today is all about the beautiful Prima Boxed Flowers!
If you haven't checked them out, you REALLY need to!  There are so many different styles and there are even boxes of leaves!  In addition to that, there are little extras in each of the boxes.  Some have bling, some have glitter, some have beads... even tags!  Truly terrific flowers!

When thinking about today's post and what I was making, I kept coming back to these pretty marbled flowers.  I love the way all of them are so pretty and different but still compliment each other so well.  SO... I decided that I wanted to let them take center stage.  Instead of using a lot of products, for this one, I thought that sometimes, simple is best.

I took some $1.00 Candles, a $1.00 Candlestick and a bowl that was $.25 added some of these beautiful flowers and came up with a center grouping that can be used in so many ways.  In fact, with all the Prima Boxed Flower choices, I'll be using this idea again and again!

Look at the beautiful details on these Prima Boxed Flowers!  The are so pretty and FUN, too!  Another great thing about these boxed flowers is that you can see that I used a lot of them for this, but I still have a LOT left over!

Be sure to head over to the Prima Blog to see some more ideas from the design team!  The ways that you can incorporate the Prima Boxed Flowers into your projects is ENDLESS!

Prima Marketing with Chameleon Pens!

How fun is it to get to team up with another manufacturer of fun and fabulous products?  A few of us were asked to team up with Chameleon Pens and come up with some ideas!

The Prima Girls were asked to use Julie Nutting Products, Garden Fable Collection and of course the Chameleon Pens.  I came up with this card using Julie Nuttings Beautiful wings!

I colored the wings with the pens.   I held the pen in the mixing chamber for about 15 seconds, then started on the outside and worked my way to the center to color these.  This allowed me to have the lightest of color around the outside and the more vibrant color on the inside of the wings.

I added some glitter to the edges of the Julie Nutting Wings and layered them.  There is a bit of foam tucked in behind the layers to give these dimension.

I love how smooth these Chameleon Pens colored the wings.  They are beautiful without needing to blend or add any other product.  Just move slowly and you will get a beautifully blended look, even on larger surfaces.

Of course, I had to add a sweet angel and lots of Prima Garden Fable Paper and Flowers!

Supply List:
Chameleon Pens-MultipleTones Set
Julie Nutting Stamp Wings 910303
Prima Boxed Flowers Leaves 586676

Prima Relics and Artifacts

The Prima Relics and Artifacts pieces are so fun to play with!  I can't seem to get enough of them lately!

Recently, while shopping in my local craft store, I came across some metal ribbon.  I had no idea what I was going to use it for, but I couldn't pass it up.  But after doing a class with some of the Flora Relics and Artifacts, I had some left over and wanted to use them.  I thought of this ribbon and how pretty it was and decided to try to turn it into a bracelet!

Tip:  The metal ribbon can have some sharp edges.  Be sure to seal them or back the project.  I used transparency to back the whole project and it worked perfectly.

Of course, I had to add some other Prima products to it!  I used some metal and if you know me, my foils had to make an appearance, too!  They are perfect for adding more shine to EVERYTHING!

Tip:  For wearables, the Prima Soft Gloss Gel works perfectly to seal the foils.

Now, just add a few bangles and you are ready to go!  This is a fun simple project that you can do for some one of a kind pieces to add some Prima to your wardrobe!

As always, I invite you to the Prima Blog to  see what the design team is up to!  You are sure to be inspired!

Live with Prima Free Class

I hope you will join me on Thursday, May 19 at 8:30 Central Time for this fun and easy class on

I will be showing you everything you need to know about how to use the back of tiles to create pretty home decor pieces to place around your home, or use as little gifts!

This is an inexpensive way to use pieces that you have in your garage or, in my case, in the attic to come up with a unique piece!  No problem if you don't have tiles in your home, this size tile can be picked up at your local hardware store for practically nothing!

Hope to see you at Live with Prima!
