Prima Rub-on Adhesive and Foils (Written Directions)

The Prima Rub-on Adhesives and Foils make decorating Christmas ornaments so easy!!  They add a beautiful and elegant touch to any project.  I loved adding them to this simple paper mache ornament.

Touches of the Prima Glass glitter accent the foil and Metallique Paints perfectly!

A bit of trim and a few Prima Trinkets... and don't forget those amazing Prima Flowers and you have an ornament that works great for yourself or even as a gift!  Not to mention, all the colors of foils, flowers, glitter, etc. make ornaments easy to customize to fit any look!

Directions:
1.  Paint the ornament with Clear Gesso then with Metallique Paint.  Let Dry.
2.  Make a pattern with cardstock that matches the sides that you want to add foil to.  Cut out adhesive in the pattern before adhering.  Rub-on adhesive.  Apply foil.
Tip:  Work one section at a time.  This will ensure that you don't damage the beautiful pattern of the adhesive.
3.  Apply a liberal, even coat of Gloss Gel.  While wet, cover with glass glitter.
4.  Attach trim to edges of ornament.  Add loop for hanging.
5.  Embellish

New Prima Adhesive Rub-ons and Foils!

This is the NEW Prima Rub-ons and Foils!!  It's another winning combination of Prima products!  As you know by now, the foils are my go to products!  I love them all!

I created this using the new Christmas Rub-ons!  They are the perfect for cards and so much more!!

Check out the pattern of the foil on the sides of my star!  The patterns are so fabulous in this round of releases... AGAIN!

It's super easy to do the edging by using the Prima Artisan Tape!!  It's super strong and will hold long term!  Just wrap it around your project and apply the foils right on top!

Be sure to check out the Prima blog for ideas using all the new products!

Prima Summer Release Foils!

The Prima Foils and Adhesive Rub-ons by Christine Adolph are some of my favorite things from Prima!  I can't get enough of them and love how they add shine to everything!  So, you can imagine how excited I was to see some new ones in the summer release!

I love chargers to set around for special events so I made this one for fall.  It will look great mixed in with my other Fall or Thanksgiving pieces.

I used the new Foildelic along with some of the new Adhesive Rub-on Leaves applied to transparency to tuck into the floral clusters on my charger.  I love that there are so many colors in these foils which allowed me to choose my favorites to add to the flowers.

The flowers are the Prima Boxed Flowers Gold Kiss.  I used the new Color Bloom 2 sprays to add color to the flowers to make them match perfectly with my foil leaves.

Of course, there are more examples on the Prima Blog!  I even have another project there that will be coming soon on my blog.  :)  You don't want to miss a thing with all the full reveals and there are lots of give aways during the full releases, so hurry over there!!

Prima Relics and Artifacts

The Prima Relics and Artifacts pieces are so fun to play with!  I can't seem to get enough of them lately!

Recently, while shopping in my local craft store, I came across some metal ribbon.  I had no idea what I was going to use it for, but I couldn't pass it up.  But after doing a class with some of the Flora Relics and Artifacts, I had some left over and wanted to use them.  I thought of this ribbon and how pretty it was and decided to try to turn it into a bracelet!

Tip:  The metal ribbon can have some sharp edges.  Be sure to seal them or back the project.  I used transparency to back the whole project and it worked perfectly.

Of course, I had to add some other Prima products to it!  I used some metal and if you know me, my foils had to make an appearance, too!  They are perfect for adding more shine to EVERYTHING!

Tip:  For wearables, the Prima Soft Gloss Gel works perfectly to seal the foils.

Now, just add a few bangles and you are ready to go!  This is a fun simple project that you can do for some one of a kind pieces to add some Prima to your wardrobe!

As always, I invite you to the Prima Blog to  see what the design team is up to!  You are sure to be inspired!

Creating in Faith with Prima Marketing

Have you seen the Prima Creating in Faith products?  They are simply wonderful!  Sometimes, you find products that say exactly what you need to hear!  These are some of those!  I used the large gold rub-ons for todays project.  I loved that I could use this verse for a beautiful home decor piece, as well as, a reminder.

I started with the 8x10 Watercolor panel from Prima.  These are so terrific!  I love that they can hang but also are wide enough to stand on a surface.  That opens up a world of posibilities for where this can be placed in my home.

Even though this would be beautiful colored and the watercolor surface is perfect for that, today's project stayed white and I only added gold accents.  I have a lot of gold in my house and by not adding color, this piece can be moved from room to room when I want to re-arrange things for a fresh look!  I love having some basic pieces for that!

Prima has so many choices for gold accents, so I added the Prima Rub-on adhesives, Rub-on Foils, Gold tipped flowers, Memory Hardware Pearls and even Color Bloom Gold Foil! All these products coordinated perfectly and made this come together quickly and easily!

Today on the Prima blog, there are wonderful examples of Creating in Faith!  Be sure to check them out!

Foiling on Anything - Prima Adhesive Rub-ons with Foils

I had to smile about today's post for foils at Prima.  Foiling Fun!  For me, that means foiling on ANYTHING and EVERYTHING!  I just can't get enough of the new Adhesive Rub-Ons combined with the new Foils!

These little bottles filled with Metallique Paints provided a beautiful background for the Adhesive Rub-ons.  I used flower rub-ons for each of the bottles to give my Mechanicals butterflies a pretty garden to flutter through.

In the close-up, you can see the colors of the bottles that provided a beautiful background for my foiling.  I used the new Metallique Paints dripped into the inside of the bottles for the coloring.  I then used the same colors to paint the butterflies and wire.

Tip:  Be sure to save all the bits and pieces of rub-ons left over from your projects.  All of the flowers that I used were pieces that I had saved after completing larger projects.  They are beautiful and perfect for these small bottles.

Be sure to take a peek at the Prima Blog to get many more ideas for Foiling on Anything!

Prima Foils and Rub-on Adhesives

This is a paper mache elephant that I created for CHA using new Prima Foils and Adhesive Rub-ons by Christine Adolph.  I also used a couple of the NEW Mid Release Metallique Paints from Prima.  The two colors shown on my elephant are Rusty Red and Emerald Green.

There are so many ways to use both the Rub-ons and Foils.  I used Artisian tape that I hand cut and added foil to on his feet.  I also cut shapes from double sided adhesive sheets for his head piece.

Cutting shapes from the Adhesive Rub-ons gave a beautiful pattern to his ears and also to the patterned piece in his head piece.  There are so many fun ways to combine the foils with the rub-ons!

I recently did a mini class with these pieces for Live with Prima.  I've attached it right here so you can take a look, if you would like to.

If you come up with other ways to use them, please share them with us on Live with Prima!  I've been using these products on everything lately and would love to see what you come up with!

Also, don't forget to check out the Prima Blog daily.  I'm not the only one who is loving these and there are so many great ideas with all the new products, too!

Prima March PPP

Today at Prima is the Prima Product Picks post!  It's always fun to play along!  The colors this month are just gorgeous!  In addition to that, they fit beautifully with the current releases.

I chose to use the Salvage District Collection to start building my layout.  The beautiful greys that are the base of this collection make it perfect to add any colors that you would like to.

I loved adding some of the Christine Adolph Adhesive Rub-ons and Foils to my page.  I simply cut out some of the square pieces, put them on transparency and tucked them around the photo.  I also used some of the beautiful words for my title.

Also, this IOD Mould was a fun addition to my page.  I also added one at the bottom of the photo.  A bit of the new Opal Magic paint gave them a beautiful finish.

Be sure to stop by the Prima Blog to see the new PPP and to play along!  Also, don't forget to check out the BAP while you are there!

Salvage District from Prima Marketing Inc.

Hey everyone!  Today, I'm sharing a page that I created using the Salvage District Collection from Prima!  The versatility of this collection continues to amaze me!  There are so many possibilities wrapped up in one gorgeous collection.  Today, I chose to give my page a bit of edge to go with this fun picture of my daughter.

I didn't add color to this one, choosing instead to keep it to a monochromatic look to go with a black and white photo.  It worked great with all the Prima foil and microbeads to add lots of fun wording.   The adhesive rub-ons are great to use to get this look.

I also purposely broke a few pieces of the IOD Moulds to tuck in.  I loved the extra touch this gave to my layout.

Today, it's all about Salvage District on the Prima Blog, so be sure to stop by there!  You will see what I mean by versatility in this collection.  There are so many beautiful projects today that will show you how many ways this one can be used!
