Quick Gift Wrap with Julie Nutting Stamps

Need some quick gift wrap?  Just pull out your Julie Nutting Stamps, some paint and matching ribbon and you are good to go!  I used some white wrap that I picked up at Michaels for $2!  Butcher paper would work, too! 

Tip:  Stamp before wrapping.  Your will thank me for this tip!  :)  I did all the stamping and painting before I wrapped... the second time.  lol

I'm all about the wrapping when giving gifts and this was so cute and easy!  This stamp is from one of the planner stamp sets, but for larger packages, the large Julie Nutting Stamps would be fabulous!!

Prima and Michaels

The final countdown is happening!!  Only 2 more days until Prima starts showing up in Michaels!  I'm really excited, especially for those of us who don't have local scrapbook stores in our areas!  We haven't had one here in YEARS!  I'm also hoping that the limited release will bring new people to our love of Prima!

I've been a huge fan of Julie Nutting for years!  I loved her even before she started designing for Prima!

I created these little favor bags using Julie Nutting planner stamps, Finnabair glitter and lots of cute stuff from Michaels!

I love all the little sayings that are included in this stamp set.  Yes, it's for Planners, but so much MORE!  My friend is hosting a 'Craft Party' soon, and we will be using these little bags for favors!  

I also wanted to remind everyone that this is FUN!  I think in trying to create the 'perfect' project, sometimes we forget why we do this and why we LOVE it! 

I hope that all of you will take a peek at Michaels soon!!  I know that I will be checking each time to see what they have of these terrific products!

New Julie Nutting Dolls and Dies from Prima

Hi!  Today, I'm sharing one of my new Prima Projects that I created using the brand NEW Julie Nutting dolls! This doll reminds me so much of high school and college! Prairie skirts were huge then!  The bigger the skirt, the more pleating or gathers, the better it would look when dancing!  Of course, we wore them with boots, too!

If you look at this angle, you can see all the dimension.  The skirt was cut out in sections and then layered.  Since I'm from Texas, the sentiment was obvious!  :)  I also added some rope, stars and of course, NEW Prima Flowers! 

Something else... there are dies for this doll!!!  Be sure to go to Prima's Blog to see all the different new dolls!  

New Julie Nutting Stamps from Prima!

This is one of the new Prima Stamps from Julie Nutting!  Although this stamp at first glance is a Halloween stamp, if you think a little outside the box, it is perfect for a masquerade theme or prom, etc.  The options are endless.  Leave the mask off and this stamp works for any formal affair!

I chose to embrace the masquerade idea for this tag.  I loved how the new Prima Rossibelle collection looked with this theme!

You can see that I added lots of dimension to my tag.  Also, check out the new Rossibelle trim!!  It added a beautiful finishing touch to my tag!

New Julie Nutting from Prima!

Hey everyone!  I'm so excited to announce this new Summer Release of Julie Nutting Stamp and Die sets from Prima!!  I know that a lot of my scrapbook friends have been hoping and wishing for new dies and Prima answered!  There are lots to choose from, so be sure to go to the Prima Blog to see them!  You will be excited to see that Julie Nutting, herself, has done some adorable samples, too!  

Here is a Carte Blanch Plaque that I decorated with LOTS of Prima goodies to match this adorable Halloween Julie Nutting Doll.  Best part is that if you hate or have trouble with fussy cutting, this one comes with the die and stamp combined!  Yipppeee!!

Also, there are a few little hints of the wonderful new Rossibelle Collection!  I used Rossibelle Journaling cards to make her clothes and that adorable little broom!

Live With Prima Kits

Have you seen the new Live with Prima Kits?  They are TERRIFIC and there are so many to choose from, but you better get them quickly before they are gone!

I had a chance to create with the Julie Nutting Kit and I LOVED it!  I created this mini brag book that would be fun to gift to a new mom, grandmother, or anyone who has photos that they would like to share.  I made this small so it could fit into a purse to carry along to make bragging easy where ever you are!  :)

I've also put together some quick instructions to help if you would like to re-create it. 

The finished dimensions of each page are 2.75x3.75".  There are 7 pages with fronts and backs to each page.   This includes the cover and the back.

Step 1:  Use 6x6 Pad to cut 2.75x3.75" pieces for each page, as shown.  Use white embossed cardstock for pages, as shown. 

Tip:  You can either get embossed cardstock or use embossing folders to make your own.

Step 2:  Make random slanted cuts, as shown, and layer pieces for each page.

Tip:  Stitch all individual pages before gluing them together to form your album.

Step 3:  Stamp and emboss using Julie Nutting border stamps.  Fussy cut.  Tuck pieces of the borders into the layers, as shown.  Add stitching using copper or brown embroidery floss.  For the photo pages, cut embossed cardstock  2.25x3.25".

Tip:  I used watermark ink with copper colored embossing powder.  It matched beautifully with the Prima Washi Stickers that are included in the kit.  It also will prevent smearing if you choose to color your stamped pieces.

Step 4: Build 3 little paper doll dresses for your album.  

For each dress, stamp and emboss once on white cardstock.  Fussy cut the entire image.  This is your bottom layer.

Stamp and emboss twice on patterned cardstock from the Julie Nutting 6x6 pad.  Fussy Cut the dress only with one image.  Fussy Cut the skirt only with the second image then cut the pieces apart along the stamped lines. 

Ink all edges.

Layer with the white layer on the bottom, the dress imagine on top of that, and finally, add the cut apart skirt image on the very top to add more dimension.

Step 5:  Color 3 Wooden Julie Nutting Dolls.  I used Prima Chalk ink to paint them. 

Tip:  Do not add water to the ink.  For images this small, the ink alone works perfectly without bleeding.

Step 6:  Embellish each page, as shown.

Tip:  The Prima Washi Sticker Banner pieces were  taped to transparency to make the tabs for the album.

Tip:  I used the Prima Washi Sticker Words layered on white cardstock.  This allowed for using foam to add height.

Step 7:  Don't forget the little details!  Use a pretty ribbon to add to the ring that holds your album together.   Use Prima Wax Cord to tie little bows to the tops of your Julie Nutting wood dolls.
