Reveal Time at Flying Unicorn!

http://www.flyingunicornstore.com
Flying Unicorn is happy to bring you not only the gorgeousness of May flowers but a month of sweet pastel colors of spring and the glorious papers from 13@rts in this months Your Passion Your Art. Without further adieu we offer you our May - Your Passion. Your Art kit of the Month

Here is my first project with the kits!
I had a lot of fun creating this layout.  I used the stencil in the kit with clear gel and added purple micro beads to it.

You can see better in this close-up.  I also added some long stitches the add to my background.

The leaves in the Mixed Passion Kit were so pretty,  but my favorite part of the package was the beads at the end of the stems.  I curled the stems and place the beads outward instead of tucked up near the flowers.

Who possibly couldn't love the adornments that Alda includes in our kits?  Not me!  I love them!  I gave these a bit of a bend and placed a glass pearl in the center.

And one more close-up.  You can see a bit of the beautiful chipboard frame in this one and see the adornment here, too.  Don't forget the ribbon.  This is one inch sheer ribbon.

Class with Flying Unicorn Off the Page

Hey everyone!  I'm sharing this burlap canvas that I created with the Flying Unicorn Off the Page item.  This little metal bicycle is so cute and fun and I wanted to make something to showcase it!

I know that I've shared this before, but I decided to share it again so I can also share the class that I did showing exactly how I created it.  Hopefully, you'll watch and maybe even pick up a few tips or ideas!

You can see it directly below the first photo!  Easy right?

Here are a couple of close-ups for the details.

And here is a close-up of that adorable bicycle!

Don't forget that, in addition to the kits, there is a complete store at Flying Unicorn!  So many beautiful things to play with are there!

Prima Design Team Call

If you follow me, you know that I'm a huge Prima fan!  So, of course, with the Prima Design Team call up, I had to throw my hat into the ring, too! So, here goes...

Altered Dress Form Canvas
This is a canvas that I made for the March PPP at Prima.

Here is a closer look.  I made the form from paper mache and set in the backside of a canvas.

Layout
This layout was just for fun!  I love the Butterfly Collection and it fit perfectly with this photo.

I wanted to share a closer look.

Layout
This layout I made with the Bella Rouge Collection.

I used some of my older Prima stash and added the new vellum butterflies!  I can't say enough about how much I love them!

Canvas Pedestal Frame
This is a canvas that I turned into a Pedestal Picture frame.  It holds a few photos and can be used to hold a series of photos of a special event.

For this project, I made a video with the process and instructions.

Here are a couple of close-ups of the project.

Layout
There are lots of Prima products, both old and new, included on this layout.

I really enjoy using all the embellishments that Prima makes, as you can see in this close-up.

Dress Form
I honestly think I could make dress forms all the time!  Here is an example of one that I created.

Layout
One last layout to share!

And one last close-up, too!

Prima Butterfly Collection

This one is just for fun!  I love this soft and sweet collection.  I had to have it and make time to play with it!  Here is what I came up with!

I love all the bits and pieces that coordinate with the collection.  The tags and tickets package make such a great base for design.  I also cut some squares directly from one of the papers to add to my design.

Of course, it is Prima which means that the flowers are beautiful!  Loving all the different kinds and sizes!

I seem to be having a bit of a glass bead obsession right now, so I added some pink pearls here and there to my flower clusters.   If you look closely, you will also notice the micro beads.  What great accents and something most of us have in our stashes.  I just wish that I could say that I'm only using my stash!  The bead purchases are becoming a problem!  :)

More April Kit Work for Flying Unicorn

Hey everyone!  I'm sharing another layout that I made using the April Kits from Flying Unicorn!  More beautiful blue paper and soft brown accents!

I LOVE this sweet photo!  Daisy was so tiny when we got her.  It was so see my husband come in from work and immediately get down on the flower with her.

I used a punch that I picked up in the Flying Unicorn Store, too!  Make sure that you check out the store often!  There are so many great things for sale, in addition to the kits!

I'm loving the bead and sequin trends!  I added some of both to this layout.    They are such a pretty and sparkly addition to pages.

It has been years since I used these little letters from Making Memories.  I still love them and they are such an easy way to add some simple journaling.

Don't forget that Flying Unicorn now does pre-orders, too!!  You seriously don't want to miss a kit!

Prima Special Edition Kits

Hey y'all!  I am sharing a layout that I made using the Prima Special Edition Kit, Sweet Cottage.  I love these kits!  They are such a great way to get lots of gorgeous Prima products that are already coordinated and ready to go!  It's also a great way to try some things that you might not have purchase yet for a great price!

I loved the soft colors that were included in this kit, so I decided to use this sweet photo with them.

I added some of my beloved Prima leaf die cuts to the flower clusters.  If you know me, you know I LOVE leaves!  I hope one of these days, Prima makes even more of the leaf dies!

I also FINALLY got my hands on this doily die!  So naturally, the first layout that I made had to have it!  I cut out the inside and added stitching to it.

One of the final little finishing touches that I did was add some stitching to the title sticker.  Because my page was so soft, the that sticker wasn't showing as well as I wanted it to.  Adding some stitches made it stand out a bit more.

A few splatters of mist, some flat backed pearls and pearls tucked into the clusters added the last little extras to pull my page and design together.
