As promised, I want to share the tips and color combinations I used to convert these bright cards into Christmas cards.  For these, instead of watercolor pencils, I used Prima Color Bloom Sprays.  All the colors used are Prima Color Bloom.

Supply List:
Watercolor Paper Pad 8.5x11 847746
Creating in Faith Cling Stamps 980702
A Victorian Christmas-Christmas Eve 583439
A Victorian Christmas-Rudolph's Nose 583446
A Victorian Christmas-Holiday Lights 583415

Color Bloom Lime Wedge 573850
Color Bloom Mustard Yellow 580261
Color Bloom Worn Leather 573829
Color Bloom Empress Gold 580315

For this card,  to get the top strip of color, I used Yellow Mustard with a touch of Frost. The middle vibrant red color is Carmine Red.  The lowest strip is Carmine Red with a touch of Worn Leather.

For the following Card, the top strip of color is the same.  It's a mix of Yellow Mustard with a touch of Frost.  The center strip is, again, Carmine Red with a touch of Worn Leather.  The lower strip is Lime Wedge with a touch of Frost.

Tip:  The Frost (White) goes a long way.  Start with your primary color and then add just a little Frost.  With the Carmine Red, again start with the primary color (Carmine Red) and add just a little bit of the Worn Leather.  You can always add more, if needed.

Tip:  Color your white wire with any Bloom Sprays to match.  I used Empress Gold to color this wire.

Again, thanks so much for watching!!!

Creating in Faith **New Prima Marketing**

As you know, I've been lucky enough to play with the new Creating in Faith by Jamie Dougherty by Prima Marketing!  I created this wooden cross and added the rub-on to the bottom.

This rub-on is a great size to add to small home decor pieces, as well as cards, journals and bible journals.   I LOVE this verse and knew that it had to make it's way onto one of my projects!

Adding a hand full of embellishments pulled this together.  I love all the mixed media products that Prima makes!  I not only used the Color Bloom Mist, but also the glass glitter and even threw in a few of the glass beads!

Creating in Faith by Jamie Dougherty from Prima Marketing

I am loving these new Rub-ons from the Creating in Faith Collection from Prima.  They come in two sizes and the large ones are just perfect for larger projects.  This is an 8x10 wood plaque and that I painted, distressed and added gold rub-n-buff to.  The gold rub-on went on easily even to a painted surface!  I love the gold color, too!

You can see the color a bit better in this close-up.  I also used the oil pastels to add drips and color in the pattern.  The rub-on held up to all that, too!  They are really terrific!!

Be sure to take a moment to check out the Prima Blog to see what the other girls have made.  The bible journaling cards, stencils and stamps are all fantastic!!

Mixed Media and Relics and Artifacts

Happy Halloween!!

Isn't it fun when you can use so many beautiful and fun things to create with?  Prima knocks it out of the park with all their gorgeous flowers, glitters and trinkets.  Add the fun of Relics and Artifacts and you have a perfect mask for Halloween!

This is the first time that I've gotten to use the Dresden Trims and I loved them!!!  They are thick with a gorgeous gold color and stand up perfectly for the backdrop for this mask.

I kept it simple with the Relics and Artifacts skull.  Adding Art Sugar was not only easy, it also didn't cover the details of the resin piece.

Head over to the Prima Blog for more ideas for using your favorite Prima products for Halloween!

Creating in Faith - Prima Marketing

Today is a big day!  Prima is releasing the brand new Creating in Faith collection by Jamie Dougherty!  This collection is so wonderful!  There are many beautiful rub-ons, stamps and bloom girls included in this collection.  It is so perfect for bible journaling, but so much more, too.  I loved playing with it!

I created these cards using some of the phrase stamps.  They came together so easily and I love the inspirational message that the collection allowed me to add to them.

A handful of watercolor pencils along with the Creating in Faith stamps for the background made the base.  I then added a few embellishments along with the beautiful Nikko flowers and I had cards that I'm going to be happy to send.

I can't wait for y'all to get a chance to play with these!!  I know that you are going to find them as inspiring and easy to create with as I did!!!

Be sure to go check out the Prima Blog to see what the other girls made with them and see the entire collection!!!  You will love it ALL!

It's Prima Day

What a great day it is today!  It's Prima Day!!  So many fun things going on today in the Prima World!  If you didn't start at the Prima Blog, be sure to get over there to see work from the design team and hear all about everything Prima!

I wanted to share a tag that I made.  As you can see, it's attached to a bow.  There is a reason for that!  Instead of a paper tag, I decided to make a tag that would compliment a package but also be a little extra gift!  So, this tag will come right off the package, already has a hook and is ready to be added to your Christmas tree as an ornament.

I started with some of the beautiful Prima Metal for a base and punched it up by adding some equally beautiful Relics and Artifacts.  I used the new Chrome Color Bloom to add color to the Relics and Artifacts Pendants.  It worked perfectly!

I kept it all in the silver and white family by adding white flowers and lots of silver micro beads.  A few more metal pieces and a pretty bow and this one is ready to hang on the tree or even add to another home decor piece.

Hope you are enjoying Prima Day as much as we are!  Be sure to head back to the Prima Blog to get links to all the other designers blogs!
