Live with Prima - Color Madness

Hi everyone!  March is all about Color Madness at Prima!  There are so many ways to color your projects and such a wide range of colors in several mediums.  For today's class, I colored my paper clay project with Color Bloom and Color Bloom 2 Mists.  You can view the video of how this project was created and colored right here on my blog!

Here is the video and I've also include close-ups for reference and details below.

I love the Fall Release IOD Moulds and stamps!  They are perfect for decorating your projects and even making your own piece!

The Color Bloom mists make it easy to color the paper clay.  They also give your projects a beautiful sheen.

I used just a few colors for this project, but the color range is amazing!  You can create this project in any color to match your personal taste or decor!

Live with Prima Dream Wall Decor

I recently created this Plaque using beautiful Prima products on Live with Prima!  I used the new Limited Edition Color Bloom Sprays for a vibrant look!

In case you have missed it, two times a week we teach a free class on Live with Prima!  I'm adding the recording so you can watch it back right here on my blog!

This started with a Prima IOD Carte Blanch Plaque.  I added beautiful Relics and Artifacts butterflies from Prima by Sandra Evertson.  Of course lots of flowers and mediums, too!

If you look closely, you can also see some new foils and even Memory Hardware Fragments!  Prima does it again and again!

Here is the class!

Sculpture Medium from Prima Marketing

Have you seen the new Sculpting Medium from Prima?  It was just released, but I was lucky enough to get to play with it for CHA samples.  This stuff is so COOL!  I created this dress for my dress form using Sculpting Medium with muslin.  So what does it do?  It makes your fabrics, flowers, etc.  very stiff!  This is awesome because that allows all your work to hold it's form.  So COOL!  I loved working with it!

A good example is this fabric bow, flowers and leaves.  They all have Prima Sculpting Medium applied, so they all still look exactly like this!  It allowed me to make the fabric look really full and make the dress opening without any worry of it drooping over time!  Did I say this stuff is COOL?

If you worked with muslin before, you know that it is very light weight.  Look how this bodice on my dress stands up even with all the color, glue and beads applied.  It's not going anywhere and again, it will stand the test of time.

Finally, one more photo to show the details.  The sculpture medium works beautifully on the Prima fabric flowers.  I can't wait to give it a try on other flowers, fabrics and anything else I might want to experiment with!

Be sure to check with your favorite scrapbooking supplier to find yourself some of this!  You are going to love this new product from Prima!

NEW PRIMA Rub-ons and Foils

MORE beautiful products from Prima!  The new rub-ons and foils from Christine Adolph are AMAZING!!!

I could seriously use these on everything!!

This is a charger that I had laying around here.  I was able to use some of the new foils, summer release dies and of course beautiful new Prima Flowers to make this piece to set out in my home.

The rub-ons are really easy to use.  They apply almost effortlessly and the foil goes on like a dream! In addition to beautiful images, there are also so many words and phrases to use on your projects.  Trust me... you are going to LOVE these!!

I put the rub-ons on transparency paper and then cut out the pieces to add some dimension to my project.  It worked so well!

Be sure to go by the Prima blog to see what the other designers have created.  We have been sticking these things to everything!!  They are so beautiful, you just can't help yourself!

Creating in Faith - Prima Marketing

Today is a big day!  Prima is releasing the brand new Creating in Faith collection by Jamie Dougherty!  This collection is so wonderful!  There are many beautiful rub-ons, stamps and bloom girls included in this collection.  It is so perfect for bible journaling, but so much more, too.  I loved playing with it!

I created these cards using some of the phrase stamps.  They came together so easily and I love the inspirational message that the collection allowed me to add to them.

A handful of watercolor pencils along with the Creating in Faith stamps for the background made the base.  I then added a few embellishments along with the beautiful Nikko flowers and I had cards that I'm going to be happy to send.

I can't wait for y'all to get a chance to play with these!!  I know that you are going to find them as inspiring and easy to create with as I did!!!

Be sure to go check out the Prima Blog to see what the other girls made with them and see the entire collection!!!  You will love it ALL!

Really? Snow in Central Texas?

It's just so HARD to believe, but it's snowing in Austin!!! Wow!!! So much fun!! It is just beautiful. I'm sitting here looking out of my window watching it snow and watching the deer eat what little bit of my grass is sticking up through it. Now, I know that so many of you have 'real' snow often, but in central Texas this is a rarity!! I have been taking some pictures of our house and yard. You see, here we have pools, not snow! lol I had to have a picture of my pool with the fountain running while the snow is coming down. I've also noticed that it's not just snowing softly, it's so wet that it's snowing in chunks!

The best part of the day though is that when I was outside taking pictures, I could hear the next door neighbors kids just giggling away! They came out front and I was so happy to hear the she has kept them home from school today to play! I love that!! They are still little and this is just too fun to pass up. I think that sometimes making memories is so much more important than a day at school. Judging by the smiles and screams, this is certainly one of those days!

Here are a couple of pictures of our house in the snow. Yes, I went over and took pictures of the kids, but I forgot to ask if I could post them! lol

Thanks for dropping by!

So Excited!!

Well, I know that ya'll will find this a shocker! I'm actually posting again quickly! I just had to share with my friends. I have had my very first publication!!! Yipee!!! I'm so very excited about this! The best part is that I'm being published along with some wonderful ladies who are such talented artists!! Liz Qualmann, Gabrielle Pollaco, Debbie Danielson and I are all taking part in this! Thanks Liz for including me in this fantastic opportunity! We have a 4 part series in Scrapbooking and Beyond. Be sure to check it out. It's called "A flourish for every season".
I also want to say that this wonderful picture of my great niece Maddi was taken by my sister in law Terri Bauer. Thanks Terri for sharing your pictures with me!!!
Here is my layout...
More ZVA, too! I can't get enough of these! I have a couple of new layouts that I've done for Zva Creative recently, too. If you haven't had the chance yet, you really need to get your hands on some of these beautiful products. Scrapbook.com is carrying them now! How cool is that? Very cool! This is one of Alex's senior portraits. I love how much interest the crystals add to this very simple design. This photo is by Amy Weison. She is fabulous! She did both of my kid's senior portraits. If you live in the Austin area, be sure to look her up.
Here is another layout of Maddi. Surprise... I actually took these pictures myself at Christmas! LOL!

I've been scrapping away and am determined to get better about my blogging, so I'll be back with more soon!

Thanks for stopping by!
