Planner Dies for Prima

Who thinks that you can only use Prima Planner Dies and accessories for planners?  Not me!  I think that you can use it all for all your paper crafting projects!

I created this card using Prima's Planner Dies and also Prima Planner Washi Sheets.

I love how the dies have the holes included to make them fit perfectly into your planners.  For my card, these holes served as the perfect place to add ribbon to hold the card pieces together.

With Mother's Day right around the corner, I thought it would be great to add a recent photo inside the card.  I just used tape to hold the die where I wanted it to cut.  So easy and a fun way to share a recent picture with Grandmother!

Add a few strips of washi and you have simple and sweet details!

Love these little clips that are part of the Rose Quartz Collection.  These are also so versatile and can be used for everything!!  The sentiment was created using Christine Adolph Rub-on Adhesives and Foils.  Anything goes when you are creating!

As always, I invite you to drop by the Prima Blog to see all the inspiring ideas!

Color Madness with Prima's Opal Magic Paint

Prima's Opal Magic Paint is so much FUN to play with!!!  There are so many ideas running through my head about patterns and this paint!  If you haven't seen it before, what it does is change colors depending on which color your background is.  So fun and easy to get very cool looks!

I created this project using only one color.  I used the Prima Aqua-Rose color.

To create the background, I painted on random polka-dots in different sizes using Prima Black Gesso.  When it was dry, I painted polka-dots that overlapped the black polka dots using Prima Opal Magic Paint.  You can see that where the paint was over white, it looks pink.  Where it's over black, it's aqua!

I didn't stop there, I also painted some black and white straws, a tag and resin keys.  There are seriously so many things that you can color with the Opal Magic!  Best part... you can take a very simple idea, one jar of paint and have a multi colored background.  FUN!

I used a Prima Rose Quartz journal card and new flowers and embellished my project.  Also, those pretty little leather pieces?  They are pencil holder from Prima's Planner collections, but who says that they can't be used on any project?  Anything goes when you love it!

Remember it's March Color Madness at Prima!!  Be sure to stop by the Prima Blog for the details and tons of inspiration!

New Prima Rose Quartz

If I were to have to pick a favorite of the new Prima Releases, this would be the one!  I LOVE the colors, I LOVE the patterns, I LOVE the possibilities!  Rose Quartz is a MUST HAVE!

I created this ballerina using lots of the new papers!

This piece is contained in an 8x10 wooden box.  The ballerina started out as a plastic silver Christmas ornament.

I painted her pink using Prima's Metallique Paint and used Prima's Metallique Paint to add the coppery color.  Her skirt is created with a combination of  Rose Quartz paper and tulle.  Of course, I added Prima Flowers and a touch of ribbon!

Look at the BEAUTIFUL patterns on the papers!!  I used a stencil, 3D Gloss Gel and Art Sugar to add some subtle dimension to both the outside and inside of the box.

One of my favorite aspects of this piece is that because the box was open, I was able to make the skirt as large as I wanted to without it brushing up against the back and IT TURNS!  I drilled a hole in the top, added a drawer knob and attached the ballerina to the bottom with ribbons.

Here, you can see what she looks like from the back when you turn her.
